On Saturday March 21 Dr. John Hagelin, Director of the Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy and Minister of Science and Technology of Global Country of World Peace, will speak on 'National Security' at the 14th Annual Peace Conference of Rotary International District 5300, entitled 'Globalization: Challenges and Opportunities.'

Other speakers include a U.S. Ambassador and a former member of staff of the White House National Security Council. This conference will take place in Yorba Linda, California, in the Richard M. Nixon Presidential Library and Museum.

The Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, was founded by Dr John Hagelin to identify, scientifically evaluate, and implement proven, prevention-oriented, forward-looking solutions to critical national and global problems.

Historic day for Latin America: 10,000 begin Yogic Flying course on 27 October

27 October 2008 was a day of unprecedented historic significance for Latin America. On that day, nearly 10,000 individuals in six countries in Latin America began instruction in Yogic Flying.

Yogic Flying is an aspect of the advanced Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. When the participants complete their training courses soon, their practice in large groups—a central element in Maharishi's programme to create invincibility in every nation—will exponentially accelerate progress towards invincibility for their countries, throughout the continent, and in the entire world.

The news of this great achievement was announced 27 October on the Maharishi Global Family Chat by Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Invincible Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace.

Raja Luis summarized the number of participants, mainly in schools, who began the Yogic Flying course on 27 October:

- Brazil: 4615
- Peru: 2500
- Bolivia: 1000
- Mexico: 1000
- Ecuador: 300
- Colombia: 250

—for a total of more than 9700 Yogic Flyers—almost 10,000 beginning their Yogic Flying courses on that day.

All the new Yogic Flyers will add to the coherent influence created by those already trained. 'This power of action is expressed in this day by increasing the number of Yogic Flyers, and also by enlivening and giving honour to Maharishi's supreme knowledge. . . . This is Maharishi's blessing for every country, and that is what we do by teaching in our schools— Consciousness-Based Education becomes a tool for every student to make national consciousness integrated.'
